Nikos Astroulakis is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics,University of Crete, Greece. His thesis is focused on the foundation of a conceptual framework of a normative approach of Development Ethics, based on the methodological tools of the Political Economy, and the application of this framework to the Transition process.He has studied Economics(University of Crete),International Economics (University of East Anglia), Sociology (University of Kent), Accounting and Management (Technological Institute of Patras, Business School). Nikos has been working in the fields of financial services and banking for many years.His academic and research interests mainly refer to the fields of:Social Economics, Political Economy and Development Ethics.He has two publications related to Development Ethics at the Journal of Economic Issues entitled: "The Institutional Foundation of Development Ethics" and "The Aristotelian Contribution to Development Ethics". |
