Nigel Dower is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen. He joined IDEA in 1987, became Vice-President in 1995 and President in 2002. His research interests are focused on the ethics of development, environment, international relations, and related issues. His publications include World Poverty - Challenge and Response (Sessions 1983), World Ethics: The New Agenda EUP 1998); and An Introduction to Global Citizenship (EUP 2003).
