Asuncion Lera St. Clair is Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Bergen. Her work-supported by the Research Council of Norway-investigates the different roles of values on the conceptualizations of poverty and development and how these have changed over time in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank.

This work is also a reflection on, and a critical analysis of, the actual use of principles from development ethics by development agents.
